The High School AP Chemistry Teacher creates rigorous, inquiry-based learning experiences that develop students’ deep understanding of chemical principles and prepare them for success in the AP Chemistry program and examination. The teacher designs instruction that emphasizes conceptual understanding, quantitative reasoning, scientific inquiry, laboratory investigation, data analysis, and evidence-based problem-solving. Responsibilities include facilitating advanced laboratory experiences, assessing student progress, differentiating instruction, and providing meaningful feedback that supports student growth. The teacher fosters curiosity, perseverance, collaboration, and scientific thinking while maintaining a safe and inclusive laboratory environment. The successful candidate collaborates with colleagues to strengthen science curriculum and instructional practices and contributes actively to the broader school community.

Requerimientos

🎓 Degree in Education, Chemistry, Science, or a related field
📜 Master’s Degree in Education or Chemistry (preferred)
⏳ Minimum of two years of successful teaching experience in a high school setting (AP or advanced level experience preferred)
🗣️ Bilingual proficiency – C1 level in English
🔬 Demonstrated expertise in advanced chemistry instruction, laboratory facilitation, and preparing students for rigorous assessments
