The Secondary Choral Music Teacher provides engaging, high-quality vocal music instruction that develops students’ musicianship, vocal technique, creativity, and appreciation for music. The teacher directs choral ensembles, plans standards-aligned instruction, and supports students across a range of abilities and experience levels. Responsibilities include preparing students for concerts and performances while building a collaborative and inclusive ensemble culture. The teacher assesses student growth, provides meaningful feedback, and encourages individual and collective excellence. Effective collaboration and communication with students, families, colleagues, and the broader school community are essential. Candidates should demonstrate strong musicianship, effective choral leadership, and a commitment to student-centered learning and the school’s mission and values.
