Junior Video Editor

We are looking for a Junior Video Editor to support our creative and content production efforts. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and interested in developing their video editing and graphic design skills in a professional environment. The ideal candidate will work under the guidance of senior editors to transform raw footage into polished, engaging video content for digital platforms. They may also support the creation and editing of static graphics, social media assets, thumbnails, and other visual content.

• Assist with editing raw video footage into clean, engaging cuts for digital and social media use.
• Add basic graphics, captions, transitions, music, and other visual elements as directed by senior editors.
• Assist with creating and editing static graphics, social media posts, thumbnails, promotional assets, and other visual content.
• Make basic design adjustments to existing graphics, including text, layouts, images, and branding elements.
• Organize and maintain video assets, graphic files, project files, and digital storage libraries.
• Export and prepare videos and graphics according to the correct formats, dimensions, and specifications for each platform.
• Apply feedback and revisions quickly and accurately.
• Support senior editors and designers with day-to-day content production tasks.
• Maintain attention to detail and consistency across video and static content.
• Meet assigned production deadlines and communicate proactively when additional support or clarification is needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in video editing, graphic design, or related experience.
• Education: Technical diploma, associate’s degree, or bachelor’s degree in progress or recently completed, preferably in Video Production, Film, Media, Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of video editing principles and digital content formats.
• Familiarity with video editing software is preferred.
• Basic graphic design skills are a plus, particularly for creating or editing static social media content and other digital assets.
• Familiarity with design tools such as Canva, Premiere, or similar platforms is preferred; strong preference for DaVinci Resolve experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under direct supervision and follow established creative guidelines.
• Eagerness to learn, receive feedback, and develop professionally.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
