Email Developer

The Email Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing responsive email communications that support marketing initiatives and customer engagement strategies. This role partners with designers, marketing teams, and technology stakeholders to build high-quality email campaigns, templates, landing pages, and microsites while ensuring consistency with digital marketing best practices. The Email Developer leverages modern development standards to create scalable, responsive, and dynamic email experiences that perform across multiple devices and email clients. Key responsibilities include developing and modifying email templates, supporting the creation of landing pages and microsites, collaborating with designers on email layouts and formatting, implementing dynamic email functionality, and ensuring quality assurance through comprehensive testing processes. The role also requires staying current on industry trends, tools, and emerging best practices to continuously improve digital messaging initiatives and campaign effectiveness.

Required Qualifications: 3-5 years of email development experience with a strong portfolio showcasing dynamic email projects. At least 3 years of overall digital development experience, including websites, applications, or mobile solutions. Advanced proficiency in HTML and CSS. Hands-on quality assurance experience using tools such as Litmus and/or Email on Acid. Experience building dynamic emails in Salesforce Marketing Cloud utilizing AMPscript. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop for asset modification and optimization. Strong understanding of modern web standards and cross-browser compatibility considerations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Email Service Providers such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, ExactTarget, CheetahDigital, or CheetahMail. Intuition for layout, user interface design, and email user experience best practices. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
