Billing Specialist Drayage

Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Drayage Billing Specialist with experience in the U.S. drayage and trucking industry. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of drayage billing processes, accessorial charges, and customer-specific billing
requirements. This person must be organized, proactive, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and process accurate customer invoices for drayage operations.
• Identify, calculate, and properly bill applicable accessorial charges based on customer agreements and operational activities.
• Understand and apply customer specific rates, agreements, and billing requirements.
• Verify supporting documentation to ensure accurate billing.
• Coordinate with dispatchers and operations teams to ensure all billable services are accurately captured. • Identify and resolve

billing discrepancies, disputes, and missing charges.

• Maintain accurate billing records and ensure invoices are submitted on time.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding invoices and billing inquiries.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in drayage billing or a similar billing role within the U.S. trucking industry.
  • Strong knowledge of drayage accessorial charges and customer billing procedures (required).
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with dispatch and operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with TMS or transportation billing systems.
  • Ability to work 100% on-site.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience billing drayage operations involving U.S. ports and terminals.
• Familiarity with customer rate agreements and billing dispute resolution.
• Experience working directly with U.S.-based carriers or drayage companies.
