Spare Parts Quality Control Specialist

Overview:
The Spare Parts Quality Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all spare parts meet the quality standards established by the company. This involves overseeing and evaluating inspection and control processes to guarantee the reliability and optimal performance of components before distribution or use. This role is key to maintaining inventory integrity and minimizing failures or returns related to defective parts.

General Mission or Objective of the Position:
To guarantee the quality and conformity of spare parts through the implementation and execution of rigorous control procedures. This ensures that products delivered to internal and external customers meet applicable technical and regulatory specifications, thus contributing to customer satisfaction and the company's operational efficiency.

Responsibilities and Tasks:
Perform visual and technical inspections of spare parts, document results, and report deviations; coordinate with suppliers to resolve quality issues; and maintain up-to-date control and tracking records. Collaborate with the purchasing, logistics, and production departments to optimize receiving and storage processes; implement continuous improvements in quality control procedures; and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations related to the quality of spare parts.

• Educational Level:

University degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Additional training in quality control or process management will be valued.

• Knowledge and Skills:

Proficiency in quality standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949), inspection techniques and materials testing, use of measuring tools and quality management software (ERP, SPC). Ability to interpret technical drawings and parts specifications.

• Experience and Competencies: Minimum 3 years in quality control of spare parts or industrial components, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing sectors. Analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and as part of a team, and a focus on continuous improvement.

Special Requirements:
Availability to work in a plant or warehouse, knowledge of industrial safety standards, and ability to conduct internal audits and coordinate with suppliers to resolve nonconformities.
