About the Role

Smartwyre is looking for a Corporate IT Lead to own corporate IT operations, security, compliance, systems, and employee technology experience in a fully remote, international environment.

This is a senior, autonomous individual contributor role, responsible for driving IT operations and improvements, managing external MSPs and vendors, and ensuring secure, efficient, and well-governed technology across the organization.

What You'll Do

• Own corporate IT operations and the employee technology experience, including onboarding, offboarding, hardware, access, and endpoints.
• Manage Windows and macOS environments and oversee MSPs, contractors, and IT vendors.
• Drive IT strategy, systems governance, SaaS management, integrations, and technology improvements.
• Own Identity & Access Management, including Entra ID, SSO, MFA, and privileged access.
• Lead the SOC 2 compliance program, including audits, controls, evidence, and remediation.
• Oversee corporate IT security, third-party technology risk, and security incidents.
• Establish effective information management and governance practices.
• Govern the use of AI tools and technologies, including security, data handling, and adoption.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of IT experience, including ownership of IT operations in a lean environment.
• Experience leading or materially contributing to SOC 2, ISO 27001, or a comparable compliance program.
• Strong knowledge of Identity & Access Management, including Entra ID, SSO, MFA, and employee lifecycle management.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and SaaS governance, including application inventory, access, licensing, and cost management.
• Experience managing Windows and macOS endpoints, including security, MDM, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Proven experience managing MSPs and IT vendors, including scope, performance, and accountability.
• Ability to understand systems, integrations, data flows, and dependencies.
• Strong documentation, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Comfortable working as a solo senior IT owner, proactively identifying problems and driving solutions independently.
• Sound judgment when balancing security, usability, cost, and business needs.

Nice to Have

• Experience as the primary IT owner in a small or midsize company.
• Experience supporting international or remote teams.
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 or another CRM platform.
• PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, APIs, scripting, or workflow automation experience.
