Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced ETL and Data Warehouse Developer to join our Business Intelligence team. In this role, you will design,
develop, and maintain data pipelines and warehouse solutions using Matillion and Snowflake, primarily working with financial and HR data.
You will be responsible for implementing new data sources and ETL jobs while providing ongoing support for existing infrastructure. This position offers the opportunity to work with modern cloud-based tools and contribute to data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- ETL Development: Design and develop ETL jobs using Matillion to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into Snowflake data warehouse, incorporating complex business logic and data validation rules.
- Data Source Implementation: Identify, evaluate, and implement new data sources from financial and HR systems, ensuring data
quality and compliance with organizational standards
- Data Warehouse Management: Build and optimize Snowflake database schemas, tables, and data models to support business intelligence and analytics requirements utilizing dimensional data models.
- Job Support & Maintenance: Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain existing ETL jobs and data pipelines; respond to production issues
and implement fixes
- Data Quality Assurance: Implement validation rules, error handling, and data quality checks; document data lineage and transformations
- Collaboration: Work closely with BI analysts, business stakeholders, and other technical teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
- Performance Optimization: Optimize SQL queries and Matillion jobs for performance; manage warehouse resources efficiently
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for ETL processes, data models, and data dictionary
- Power BI Integration: Support BI team in connecting Power BI to Snowflake data warehouse; provide technical guidance on data
availability and accessibility
