ACCOUNTABILITIES
- This role owns a defined product domain or value stream and is accountable for measurable business and clinical outcomes.
- The Senior Product Owner translates product strategy into multi-quarter roadmaps, leads cross-functional execution, and ensures
solutions scale operationally, clinically, and technically while delivering measurable impact across the organization.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and drive product strategy in alignment with company and product leadership objectives. Translate strategy into multiquarter roadmaps aligned to defined OKRs and business metrics.
- Lead scaled agile practices across teams and ensure consistent product delivery standards. Consistently demonstrate best
practices in backlog refinement, story writing, and release readiness.
- Lead discovery efforts including stakeholder interviews, journey mapping, and workflow optimization across user and
patient experiences.
- Accountable for the end-to-end performance, including technical reliability, operational scalability, and measurable business
impact. Partner with Engineering and Architecture on system-level design decisions and technical tradeoffs.
- Act as the primary product partner to clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders. Influence prioritization decisions through
ROI analysis and business case development.
- Define KPIs and success metrics for initiatives. Specify event tracking requirements (e.g., Heap instrumentation) for key user
behaviors. Partner with Data to develop dashboards and post-release impact reporting. Lead cost-benefit and ROI analysis to
guide prioritization.
- Drive roadmap prioritization. Make strategic tradeoff decisions across clinical, operational, financial, and technical constraints.
- Work closely with the development and design teams, specifying the requirements for developers and track work progress
- Define and communicate comprehensive release readiness criteria including UAT, operational readiness, clinical validation, data
validation, and compliance checks. Proactively identify and mitigate product and operational risks.
- Actively participate or lead Agile ceremonies including refinements and sprint demos
- Own a complex, multi-initiative backlog
- Ensure user stories include: Acceptance criteria, Non-happy path scenarios, Edge cases, Integration dependencies, Reporting
requirements, Monitoring & alerting requirements
- Support the product’s feedback collection mechanism on product performance, gathering customer feedback and thus creating a
product feature backlog.
- Communicate initiative performance, roadmap updates, and outcome metrics to senior leadership. Drive alignment when
tradeoffs are required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of Product Ownership or Product Management experience.
- Demonstrated ownership of complex product domains or multi-team initiatives.
- Experience in Scaled Agile environments with distributed teams.
- Healthcare, pharmacy, or Medicare Advantage experience preferred.
- Experience defining analytics frameworks and KPI measurement models.
- Experience developing ROI analyses and business cases.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders without formal authority.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive presentations.
- Experience mentoring or leading other Product Owners preferred.
