🧾 Position Purpose
The Accounts Payable Analyst – Senior plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity, efficiency, and continuous evolution of Accounts Payable and payment processes across Latin America. This position has end to end ownership of complex AP, payment, and intercompany activities in a multi country environment.
Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), the role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant domestic, international, and intercompany payments, strong reconciliations, and robust internal controls, while proactively identifying risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities at a regional level.
✅ Key Responsibilities
• Own and execute complex and high value domestic, international, and intercompany (IC) payments in accordance with approval matrices, calendars, and internal controls.
• Act as process owner / SME for Accounts Payable, payments, and banking related activities across LATAM.
• Lead regional bank, AP, and intercompany reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of complex and aged reconciling items.
• Proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate risks related to late payments, penalties, interest, duplicate payments, fraud, or intercompany mismatches.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in invoice to pay, payment, and reconciliation processes, including automation and standardization.
• Participate actively in regional system implementations and enhancements (ERP, e invoicing, OCR, approval workflows).
• Coordinate month end and year end closing activities related to AP, bank accounts, and intercompany balances.
• Execute, review, and strengthen SOX and internal controls, ensuring audit readiness across multiple countries.
• Serve as the main regional point of contact for complex issues with Procurement, Accounting, Tax, banks, and intercompany partners.
• Prepare, analyze, and present regional AP, payment, and intercompany KPIs, trends, root causes, and improvement actions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior and mid level AP analysts across the region.
• Lead interactions with internal and external auditors at a regional level.

Requerimientos
🎓 Profile Requirements
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or related fields.
• Postgraduate degree or specialization in Finance, Accounting, or Treasury is a plus.
Experience
• 6 to 10 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Treasury, Accounting, or Finance.
• Regional or multi country experience strongly preferred.
Technical Skills
• Advanced / Fluent English and Portuguese.
• Advanced Excel (complex reconciliations, data analysis, controls, automation).
• Advanced experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and AP automation tools.
• Strong knowledge of banking processes, payments, intercompany accounting, and internal controls.
