Junior Accounts Payable Analyst

🧾 Position Purpose
The Junior Accounts Payable Analyst provides operational and analytical support to Treasury and Finance functions across Latin America, ensuring accurate execution of Accounts Payable processes within a digitally enabled, well-controlled, and compliant environment.
This role contributes to process efficiency, financial data quality, and Treasury decision support, within junior-level responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute domestic payments according to approved payment calendars, controls, and authorization matrices.
- Perform bank reconciliations and support month-end closing activities.
- Monitor and follow up on late payment penalties, interest, and delays, identifying root causes.
- Manage petty cash, fixed funds, and employee advances, including foreign currency advances when applicable.
- Operate Accounts Payable automation systems (e-invoicing, OCR, approval workflows).
- Manage invoice and payment exceptions, coordinating with Procurement, Accounting, and internal stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within Invoice-to-Pay processes.
- Execute and document SOX controls related to Accounts Payable and payments.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring proper documentation and traceability.
- Minimize risks related to payment errors, duplicate payments, and fraud, escalating issues when identified.
- Support basic AP reporting and KPIs.
- Act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders and suppliers regarding payment status.
- Provide operational support for corporate credit card programs, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
