Position Overview
Talento is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Specialist to support overnight logistics operations. This role focuses on real-time shipment updates, data management, and driver coordination to ensure smooth freight movements and excellent customer communication.

This position requires strong responsiveness, clear communication, and the ability to manage updates efficiently during overnight hours.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor expedited shipments during overnight operations.
- Provide customers with timely updates at pickups, deliveries, and location checkpoints.
- Actively track and trace shipments using TMS and other transportation software.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry and transfer between systems.
- Communicate with drivers via phone, text, and Telegram to confirm status and protocol compliance.
- Ensure drivers are following company and customer procedures.
- Respond quickly to issues and escalate when necessary.
- Contact customer service or vendors in case of trailer breakdowns or operational issues (infrequent but critical).
- Maintain clear documentation of load updates and communications.
- Support overall operational efficiency through consistent follow-up and quick response times.

Qualifications
- 6 months to 2 years of experience in logistics, dispatching, freight brokerage, or transportation management.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure competitive rates while maintaining strong carrier relationships.
- Experience creating rate confirmations and managing post-load documentation processes.
- High attention to detail, especially when reviewing paperwork and load-related images.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with TMS platforms.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple loads simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining operational discipline and company standards.

Communicate PU/DO - mainly late night / early morning
Pre-loaded trailers - must send photographs
Search load number in group text messages to identify the driver. Contact the driver for updates.
In group texts, log confirmations of PUs/DOs
Must check in with drivers (stored in Telegram)
Track on an Excel sheet customer updates (for organizations & to ensure drivers are assigned)
The role is not dispatching
