Full Stack Developer Mid

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help build and expand the Transfix TMS — a core freight-management software platform serving carriers, shippers, and brokers across the transportation industry. You will contribute to our front-end, back-end, or both, and work alongside a team that values shipping fast, learning continuously, and building high-quality software. Key Responsibilities • Build and maintain the core Transfix TMS platform — serving carriers, shippers, and brokers across the freight transportation sector. • Expand existing products (Custom Cost Solutions, Shipper App, etc.) and APIs to serve new customer types and transportation modes. • Contribute to the front-end web application, back-end services and APIs, or both. • Integrate the platform with freight management APIs, automated shipping brokerages, and external data providers. • Practice Continuous Deployment, automated testing (unit- and end-to-end), production monitoring, and alerting. • Participate in blameless post-mortems and retrospectives to learn from failures and improve team process and software design. • Participate in technical kick-off meetings, constructively challenge ideas, and collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and fellow engineers. • Mentor teammates and learn from colleagues — actively contribute to team growth and knowledge sharing. • Use AI tools (e.g., Claude) to augment your engineering workflow.

Qualifications: Must-Have • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience in a web context. • Hands-on experience with at least one back-end language: Ruby, Python, Go, or Node.js. • Experience working with one or more front-end JavaScript frameworks (React/Redux preferred). • Proven ability to write clean, clear, and well-tested code. • Experience with automated testing — unit and end-to-end — and production monitoring tools. • Ability to deliver high-quality products with confidence using a combination of automated testing, manual testing, and monitoring.
