Fountain City Logistics Weekend Carrier Sales

Fountain City Logistics is seeking a Weekend Carrier Sales & Operations Specialist to drive freight coverage and booking over the weekend while maintaining operational support. This role is primarily focused on carrier sales, ensuring freight is covered for weekend and early-week pickups, while also supporting tracking and customer communication. • Source and secure carrier capacity for loads picking up Saturday, Sunday, and Monday • Negotiate rates and build relationships with carriers • Proactively cover open loads to ensure no service gaps • Manage load boards (DAT, Truckstop) to secure capacity efficiently • Monitor and track active shipments over the weekend • Provide real-time updates and respond to customer inquiries • Identify and resolve delays or service issues • Maintain communication with carriers, drivers, and internal teams • Update TMS with accurate shipment and load information • Friday & Tuesday Focus Heavy focus on booking freight and securing coverage for upcoming shipments

• Experience in freight brokerage, carrier sales, or dispatch • Strong ability to book freight and negotiate with carriers • Experience using load boards (DAT, Truckstop, etc.) • Ability to multitask between sales and operations support • Strong communication and problem-solving skills • Comfortable working weekend schedules in a fast-paced environment
