Drayage Specialist Jr

Talento is seeking a Drayage Specialist Jr. to support and coordinate drayage operations, ensuring timely and efficient movement of cargo from ports to final destinations. This role involves tracking shipments, liaising with carriers and customers, and maintaining compliance with logistics regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has strong communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: • Coordinate and monitor drayage operations to ensure timely cargo movement. • Communicate with carriers, customers, and internal teams to provide shipment updates. • Track and trace container movements, ensuring accuracy in delivery schedules. • Assist in resolving transportation issues, delays, and other operational challenges. • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in drayage logistics. • Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and performance metrics. • Support invoicing and billing processes related to drayage services. • Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications: • 1-2 years of experience in drayage, freight forwarding, or transportation logistics preferred. • Knowledge of drayage operations, container tracking, and port procedures. • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and logistics software. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field is a plus.
