AI Engineering Lead (Agentic Development)

Niuro is hiring an AI Engineering Lead for a US technology client, to coordinate several autonomous AI engineering teams while staying accountable for accurate, usable software delivery. Success means accepted engineering outcomes, not the number of prompts or sessions.

What you will do: turn business priorities into clear task briefs and definitions of success; coordinate parallel AI engineering workstreams; configure AI coding tools and automation; review code changes and tests and oversee safe releases; evaluate AI output through source review and meaningful tests.

Remote, long-term contractor engagement.

6+ years in software engineering, including technical leadership of concurrent workstreams.

Hands-on experience with several AI coding tools or agent frameworks.

Strong ability to read code changes, investigate defects and judge AI-generated output.

Command line, shell scripting, Git and repeatable development workflows.

Precise written communication.
